Friction drilling:
(Also called flow punch forming, flow drilling, friction stir drilling, thermal friction drilling and form drilling.)
Friction Drilling is a thermal drilling process for generating bushings or holes in thin walled sheet metal, metal tubes, or pipes without metal removal.
Thread forming:
(Replaces thread cutting/tapping with coldforming.)
Threadformer are the chipless tapping tools froming threads. Thread former are made of solid carbide. Threadformer compress their from into the material to form threads in a tapping like process. Threadforming is a cold forming process to generate a thread in applicable metal materials.
The advantage: No oversize threads. More easy to automize than tapping. Faster than tapping.
Metric Parts:
Tool holders and machine accessories.
