Set up and clamping
For the proper machining angle, the spindle is positioned via scale and then locked. The cutting tools are clamped with a collet clamping system and the part is quickly clamped by two self centering vises. The bar stock is exactly positioned with a manual handwheel feed and electronic readout with quick zero setting.
During drilling and milling, cutting lube is supplied as selected by the micro-mist minimal lube system. For through holes, or angular holes, the tubing is manually oriented to an angular scale position. It is rotated while clamped in the self centering and feeding chuck. Exact positioning is confirmed and then clamped. This eliminates the need of preliminarly marking, scribing or center-punching and provides precise hole locations, most important when through holes are drilled from both sides.
The best of this feature is that the resulting chamfers are minimal and pointed towards the inside of the tube. You are saving time, while a cleaner looking fit is provided. Just insert the matching bars and finish with minimal welding.
